How to Backup and Restore The Registry In Windows 10/11

In this tech tutorial blog post I am going to show you how to backup and restore the Registry In Windows 10/11. The registry is one of the most important part of your windows operating system as all the installed applications, drivers, devices, etc settings are stored there.

This is very important to create a backup of the Registry for the safe side and you can restore that backup anytime to the exact same values and settings of your registry. Creating a backup of the registry is good as if someone even messed up with the registry settings, you can restore all the settings to their original from that backup.

There are two options to create a backup of your Registry, the one is to create a system restore point and the second is to back up the registry manually. With the system restore point, you can restore your whole operating system (OS) backup including the registry to the exact state it was when the backup was created. While creating a backup of the registry manually will allow you to restore the registry backup only.
