WhatsApp now lets you edit messages with a 15-minute time limit

WhatsApp has officially launched a new feature allowing users to edit sent messages within a 15-minute time limit. That means you get a second chance to edit your first message within 15 minutes after the message has been sent.
All you need to do is long-press on a sent message and inside the “Info” and “Copy” options, you will see another option called “Edit“, click on it and edit your message.
According to WhatsApp, after editing a message, it will be indicated with the word “edited” alongside the updated message. This way, the recipients of your message will be aware that a correction or modification has been made, without showing the edit history.
“The edit feature has started rolling out for some users globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks,” WhatsApp said.
Several other social media companies have also ventured into the realm of message editing. Last year, Twitter introduced a feature exclusively for its Twitter Blue subscribers, allowing them to edit their tweets up to five times within a 30-minute timeframe after posting. Telegram messaging app also allow users to edit sent messages.
